A family event bringing Mary Seacole’s words to life!

Inspired by Mary Seacole who often combined catering with her other activities where ever she went, The Clifton Centre welcomes families to a free breakfast with read aloud from the book.

In chapter 3 of Mary Seacole’s book, Mary describes “…a thick substantial pancake of flour, salt and water – eggs were far too expensive to be used in its composition.”
