The Platform Panels Project - The Station
The Platform Panel Project at St Leonards Warrior Square (SLWS) Station in St Leonards-on-Sea raises awareness of local railway history. It highlights those who built and worked on the railway when it first opened.
Explore the panels designed by lead artist Yasmin Aishah on the railings in front of the SLWS station ticket office. Find further panels on Platform 1 behind the ticket office, also by Yasmin, and at the western end of the platform near the Bo Peep tunnel entrance, created by ARRAN and Jules Earl.
This joint project with ExploreTheArch and Southeast Communities Rail Partnership is a collaboration with Network Rail and Southeastern Railway, funded by Chalk Cliff Trust and National Lottery Heritage Fund. The core team connected with Hastings and Bexhill Mencap’s Active Arts, Hastings Local History Group, Kings Road traders and Zoom Arts in the opening of the project.
