Make a boat in porcelain to hang in your home.

Is there somewhere that you’d like to travel to? In the UK or further afield? How far have you, your parents or Grandparents had to travel to get to St Leonards?

On Saturday 1 April we will design and make a boat in porcelain to represent those travels and dreams. Design your boat as elaborately or as simply as you’d like. Boats will be drawn onto paper first and then those images will be transferred onto porcelain clay.

On Saturday 8 April you can come back and glaze your boat using a wide selection of glaze colours and learning Liz’s glazing techniques. Your glazed boat will be fired again.

We will then create a display in our shop window, using your boats, until the end of the festival (this is optional).

Fun for children and adults alike (children need to be accompanied by an adult). Come on your own or book with a group of friends.

The cost starts at £10 to make a porcelain boat and £20 to make and glaze your boat. This workshop has been subsidised by A Town Explores a Book

All materials included in the cost. Each class on each day will be around 1 hour long depending on what you would like to make.

Classes start at 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm
